You hold the key to fraud prevention. CardLock™ is FREE and empowers members to take a proactive role in preventing fraud on their card accounts. With CardLock, you have the control to lock and unlock access to your credit or debit card accounts. CardLock lets you lock or unlock your card in a matter of seconds – anywhere, anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
 
Members can enroll in the CardLock service by phone or by visiting the CardLock web site. Please see the FAQs for more information.
 
Enrollment by Phone
  1. Call 877-285-6251 (877-CULOCK1).
  2. Enter the 16-digit account number to enroll.
  3. Enter a 4-digit security key code.
  4. Confirm/enter phone number to associate with the account.
  5. If needed, enter additional account numbers and/or phone numbers.
 
Enrollment by Web
  1. Go to www.cucardlock.com.
  2. Create an account by entering a username and a password.
  3. Click the “Add/Remove Cards” button; provide the account number of the card to enroll and specify a 4-digit security keycode.
  4. To enable phone-based use of the CardLock service, click the Add/Remove Phone Numbers” button to provide phone numbers to associate with the account.
 

How It Works:
CardLock enables cardholders to directly control whether to block or not block a transaction from proceeding. When a cardholder locks their account with CardLock, any attempt to authorize a transaction on that account will be declined and no charge will occur. In addition, the cardholder will get a call or alert from the fraud department that a transaction has been attempted on their locked account.

Note: Recurring transactions, such as a fitness club membership, will not be declined, even if the cardholder has locked the account.

You may lock and unlock your account via phone or CardLock’s web site.

 

Locking or Unlocking via Phone (for accounts already enrolled)

  1. Call 877-285-6251 (877-CULOCK1)
  2. Select the option to lock or unlock an account.
  3. Enter the 4-digit security key code when prompted; listen to current account status.
  4. Select the option to change the lock status as desired.
 

Locking or Unlocking via Web (for accounts already enrolled)

  1. Go to www.cucardlock.com.
  2. Enter username and a password.
  3. Click the “Lock/Unlock Cards” button; list of locked/unlocked accounts displays.
  4. Select account to lock or unlock; enter 4-digit security key code.
  5. List will display updated card status.
